Health Exchange – WebMD has expanded its already vast offering by creating its own social network, which it has named WebMD Health Exchange. Newly launched this month, Health Exchange will allow users to communicate with each other on the via the popular site and share their own stories and experiences with each other. The site will offer several communities that users can join. These communities can be created by users, and several preexisting communities will offer expertise from physicians from Duke Medicine. Advocacy groups such as  the National Health Council will also contribute to communities on the new social network. It can’t be said enough how large a role the Internet is playing in our everyday lives, especially when it comes to gathering personal health information, and WebMD’s Health Exchange is the newest player in an ever-expanding market.
