thing that can be spread from one person to another. On the Internet, this can be anything from a video or photo that has gone viral to a chain e-mail or those ubiquitous questionnaires on Facebook. In PR and marketing, memes are seen as an inexpensive way to create buzz for a product or service, especially those that aren’t getting much attention in the mainstream media.
